Ingredients:
• 5 – onion, chopped
• 1/2 cup – Tamarind juice
• 1 tsp – sambar powder
• Oil for frying
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp – mustard
• Curry leaves
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• Coriander leaves
Method:
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a kadai. Saute mustard, curry leaves, cumin until they splutter. Add onions and fry until golden brown.
- Add the tamarind juice, sambar powder and salt (as per taste) with water and stir well.
- Cook 10-15 minutes until the onion cooks.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Have it with for rice, chapatti or roti.
