Ingredients:

• Green peas – 1/2 cup
• Oil – 2 tsp
• Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
• Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
• Green chilli – 1 tsp, chopped
• Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
• Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
• Grated Coconut – 1/2 cup
• Idli batter – 3 to 4 cup
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. For the filling, boil peas till soft.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard and cumin seeds.
  3. When they splutter, add green chilli, turmeric and chilli powder.
  4. Add peas, coconut and salt.
  5. Stir on a low flame for a minute or two.
  6. Let it cool.
  7. Grease the idly moulds and fill with batter.
  8. Place 1 tsp filling over the batter .
  9. Cover the filling with more batter and steam for 15 minutes.
  10. Serve hot with chutney.
