Ingredients:

• 1 tbsp – Ghee
• 1 cup (100 g) – rava
• 200 ml – Pineapple juice (Tropicana / Real / homemade – without sugar)
• 1 tsp – Raisins
• 1 tsp – chopped Cashewnuts
• 1 cup (100 g) – Sugar
• 2 pinches – Cardamom powder
• 1 tsp – Ghee

Method:

  1. Grease a steel plate with 1/2 tsp of ghee and keep aside.
  2. Heat ghee in a frying pan.
  3. Add sooji and stir well continuously on low to medium heat for 15 minutes or until the colour changes.
  4. Maintain low to medium heat. Add the chopped cashew nuts and raisins.
  5. Stir well for 5- 8 minutes.
  6. Add the pineapple juice. Mix all the ingredients well.
  7. Cover with a lid and cook on low heat for 8-10 minutes or until the mixture dries up.
  8. Add sugar and mix well.
  9. Cover with a lid and cook again for 5-8 minutes. Open the lid and stir well continuously for 5 more minutes or until the mixture leaves from the sides of the pan.
  10. Sprinkle cardamom powder
  11. Pour the rava mixture on a greased thali and sprinkle the remaining 1/2 tsp of ghee over it and spread it evenly with a flat spatula.
  12. Keep aside to cool for half an hour and later cut it into desired shape and sizes.
