Ingredients:

• 1 cup – Mint leaves
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1 tsp – Bengal Gram dal
• 3 – crushed Garlic pods
• 4 – dry Red Chillies
• 1 tsp – Tamarind paste
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• A pinch – of Asafoetida
• Salt – to taste
• 2 tsp – oil

Method:

  1. Heat the oil in a kadai. Add the mustard seeds and allow it to splutter.
  2. Add urad dal, Bengal gram dal, garlic, red chillies, asafoetida and saute for 1 minute.
  3. Add the mint leaves and saute for another 2 minutes.
  4. Add the tamarind paste to this and add salt.
  5. Grind the mixture in a mixer.
