Ingredients:

• 1 bunch – pudina.
• 1 – onion.
• 3 tbsp – til.
• Tamarind – a small ball.
• Salt to taste.
• For seasonings:
• 2 tbsp – oil.
• 1/2 tbsp – rai.
• 1/2 tbsp – jeera.
• 1/2 tbsp – urad dal.
• 3 – red chillies.
• Few fresh curry leaves.

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add onions. When onions are brown, add pudina leaves and switch off the stove.
  2. Grind the onions with tamarind, salt and a little water.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add urad dal, rai, jeera, red chillies.
  4. When rai seeds pop, add curry leaves and turmeric powder. Stir.
  5. Add the ground chutney.
  6. Serve with khichidi or rice or use it to make a sandwich.
