Ingredients:
• 1 bunch – pudina.
• 1 – onion.
• 3 tbsp – til.
• Tamarind – a small ball.
• Salt to taste.
• For seasonings:
• 2 tbsp – oil.
• 1/2 tbsp – rai.
• 1/2 tbsp – jeera.
• 1/2 tbsp – urad dal.
• 3 – red chillies.
• Few fresh curry leaves.
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan, add onions. When onions are brown, add pudina leaves and switch off the stove.
- Grind the onions with tamarind, salt and a little water.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add urad dal, rai, jeera, red chillies.
- When rai seeds pop, add curry leaves and turmeric powder. Stir.
- Add the ground chutney.
- Serve with khichidi or rice or use it to make a sandwich.
