Ingredients:

• 2 tbsp oil
• 1/2 tsp mustard
• 1/2 tsp chilli powder
• 100 gm small Onion
• 1/2 tsp Methi seeds
• 2 Red Chillies
• 1 tbsp Garlic paste
• 1 tbsp coriander powder
• 1 tbsp fish curry powder
• 1/2 Lemon size Tamarind
• 1 small Tomato
• 1 Raw banana chopped
• 1 sprig Curry leaves
• Coriander leaves
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds.
  2. When they splutter, add curry leaves, methi seeds and red chillies; stir for 1 minute.
  3. Add chopped small onion and garlic paste.
  4. Stir on a low flame and then add chopped tomato.
  5. Add the remaining spices and stir well.
  6. Finally, add the chopped raw banana, tamarind pulp, and salt.
  7. Cover and cook till it is done.
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with dosas, idlis and rice.
