Ingredients:
• 1/2 kg – Yam (peeled and cut into medium pieces)
• 2 tbsp – cooking oil
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 2 – large Onions (chopped)
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – Garlic paste
• 2 tbsp – Vinegar
• 2 – large Tomatoes (chopped)
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan and saute the onions till golden brown.
- Add the garlic paste, tomato, cumin powder, chilli powder and vinegar and fry for a few minutes.
- Add the yam and 2 cups of water and simmer on low heat till the yam is cooked.
