Ingredients:

• 6 – Lemons
• 200 g – Sugar
• 1/4 tsp – Methi seeds
• 1/4 tsp – sesame seeds
• 1/4 tsp – asafetida
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1.5 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1/2 tbsp – salt

Method:

  1. Quarter the lemons and de-seed.
  2. Put sugar and lemon pieces in a small grinder and grind coarsely. Transfer into a wide-mouthed jar.
  3. Add all the other ingredients to the jar. Mix well with a wooden ladle.
  4. Tie mouth of the jar with a clean, dry muslin cloth.
  5. Keep in hot sunlight for at least 4-5 days.
  6. Close the lid tightly and store in cool, dry place.
