Ingredients:

• 1 cup – Rice
• 1/3 cup – Urad Dal
• 2 cup – Coconut Milk
• 1/2 tsp- Fenugreek seeds
• 1/3 cup – Curd
• 1/2 tsp- soda bicarb
• Salt to taste
• Oil to shallow fry

Method:

  1. Wash and soak the rice and dal together.
  2. Add fenugreek seeds and soak for 6-7 hours or overnight.
  3. To prepare coconut milk put grated coconut in blender.
  4. Repeat with the same residue. Restrain.
  5. Add water and blend till smooth. Strain.
  6. Use this milk to grind the dosa batter.
  7. Add curd, soda, salt and mix well.
  8. Keep aside for 3-4 hours.
  9. Heat griddle, pour 1 spoon batter.
  10. Even thick dosas may be made from the same batter if desired.
  11. Serve hot with coconut or onion chutney.
