
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – grated Cabbage
• 1.5 cups – besan
• 1 to 2 – chopped Green chillies
• 1 – small onion, finely chopped
• 1/4 tsp – baking soda
• 1/2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1/4 tsp – Garlic-ginger paste
• A pinch of Asafoetida
• 2 tbsp – oil or Butter
• 1/2 cup – coriander leaves, chopped
Method:
- Combine all the ingredients (except the oil) with some water to form a smooth, non-flowing batter.
- While it sits for some time, grease the insides of your steaming dish or idli mould.
- Pour the batter into it and steam for about 10-15 minutes.
- Use the tooth-pick or dry-knife test to check if the cabbage bites are done.
