Ingredients:

• 1.5 cups – heavy Cream
• 1/2 cup – whole Milk
• 5 – Egg yolks
• 340 g – chopped dark chocolate
• 1 tbsp – Cinnamon powder

Method:

  1. Pour the cream and milk along with cinnamon powder in a pan.
  2. Heat till almost scalded i.e. you start seeing small bubbles forming along the edges of the pan.
  3. Switch off the heat.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the egg yolks.
  5. Take 1/2 cup of the scalded milk and add to the egg yolks while whisking continuously.
  6. Now add this egg mixture into the remaining milk mixture and mix well.
  7. Switch on the heat and heat this mixture for 2 minutes and then switch it off.
  8. Add the chopped chocolate and mix well till the chocolate is melted and well incorporated.
  9. Pour into serving bowls.
  10. Refrigerate for a couple of hours till it sets.
  11. Decorate with whipped cream or shaved chocolate.
