Ingredients:
• Plain Rice – 1 cup
• Jaggery – 1 cup
• Kidney beans – 1/2 cup
• Coconut – 1/2 cup
Method:
- Soak the kidney beans for 1 hour.
- Wash the rice in water and dry it in a muslin cloth for half an hour. The powder it fine and sieve out the coarse grains
- In a kadai, fry the soaked kidney beans and cook well.
- Now add the powdered jaggery.
- When the water starts to boil, add the powdered rice and mix well.
- Keep mixing till all the water is absorbed. Then add the coconut pieces and remove from fire.
- After 10 mins, mix again and make small balls.
- Flatten them slightly and make a hole in the centre.
- Steam the cakes for 10 mins in a pressure cooker.
- Serve with fresh butter.
