
Ingredients:
• 1 chicken, cleaned well and cut into pieces
• 3 onions, finely chopped
• 2 Tomatoes
• 2 Green chillies
• A small piece of Ginger
• 4 Cloves Garlic
• 2 tsp – Poppy Seeds
• 1 cup – Yoghurt
• 1 Coconut
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 2 tsp – coriander powder, roasted
• A pinch Saffron
• Oil for frying
• Salt to taste

Method:
- Clean and joint the chicken.
- Slice the onions. Chop tomatoes and green chillies.
- Grind ginger and garlic to a paste. Grind poppy seeds to a paste.
- Grate coconut and extract coconut milk.
- Heat oil in a frying pan.
- Add onions and green chillies and fry until golden brown in colour.
- Add chicken pieces, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, poppy seeds paste and salt to taste.
- Brown well adding a little yoghurt at a time.
- Add chopped tomatoes, coconut milk and saffron. Mix well.
- Pour 2 cups of water in a pressure cooker.
- Pressure cook chicken for 8 mins.
- Squeeze lime juice before serving.
