Ingredients:

• Olive oil – one and a half tbsp
• Cloves – 2
• Cinnamon – 2 pieces
• Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
• black pepper Corn – 1/2 tsp, crushed
• Onion – 1/4cup, chopped
• Carrot – 1/4cup, diced
• beans – 1/4cup, diced
• Green chilli – 1, slit
• Barley – 1/2 cup
• whole green gram – 1/2 cup
• water – 3.5 cup
• salt to taste
• Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp, chopped

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pressure pan.
  2. Add cloves, cinnamon, cumin and pepper. Fry for few seconds.
  3. Add onion, fry till light brown.
  4. Add chilli, carrot, beans, barley, green gram and water. Add salt to taste. Pressure cook for 10 minutes. Serve hot, garnished with coriander leaves.
