Ingredients:

• 3 sheep brains or 1/2 kg Beef brain
• 2 tsp – pepper powder
• 1 tbsp – flour
• 1 egg, beaten
• salt to taste
• 3 tbsp – oil

Method:

  1. Wash the brains well and remove the nerves etc.
  2. Cook in a little boiling water for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and cool.
  3. When cold, mix in the beaten egg, pepper powder, egg, flour and salt and mix well.
  4. Shape into small cakes and then flatten them.
  5. Heat oil in a flat pan and shallow fry the brain cakes till brown on both sides.
