Ingredients:
• 1 kg – fish, cut into slices
• 2 medium-sized – onions, chopped
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 2 tsp – cumin powder
• 2 tsp – Garlic paste
• 2 tbsp – Vinegar
• salt
• 1 sprig – Curry leaves (optional)
• 2 – tomatoes, pureed or chopped finely
• 2 tbsp – oil
Method:
- Wash the fish well and lightly fry it in a little oil till the pieces become firm.
- Keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add the curry leaves and onions and fry it till they are light brown in colour.
- Add the garlic paste and saute for a while.
- Add the chilli powder, cumin powder, tomato puree and salt and fry for some time.
- Add the fish and vinegar and mix it well.
- Add just a little more water and cook till the gravy is slightly thick.
