Ingredients:

• 1 cup – idli Rice
• 1 cup – green grams (soaked overnight)
• 1/2 cup – Urad Dal
• 1/4 tsp – Fenugreek seeds

Method:

  1. Soak separately the idli rice and urad dal with fenugreek seeds for at least 4 hours.
  2. Grind the urad dal with fenugreek seeds into a fluffy batter.
  3. Grind the green grams and soaked idli rice together into a coarse paste.
  4. Mix together the urad dal batter and the green gram-rice batter with enough salt and keep overnight for fermentation.
  5. Grease the idli plates with oil, fill it with idli batter and steam for 10 mins.
