
Ingredients:
• Green Tomatoes – 300 g (cut into pieces)
• Green chillies -5 (each, cut into 2)
• Urad Dal – 1 tsp
• Channa dal – 2 tsp
• Til – 1 tsp
• Mustard Seeds -1/2 tsp
• Curry Patta leaves – 6
• Tamarind paste – 1/2 tsp
• Red Chilli -1, broken into pieces
• Peeled Garlic – 5
• Onion – 1, small (chopped fine)
• Hing – a pinch
• Salt – to taste
• Chopped Coriander leaves – 1 tsp
Method:
- Dry fry dals and til untill light brown, powder, keep it aside.
- Heat 1 tsp oil, add green chilli, tomato, peeled garlic, fry for 2 mins, put it in a mixie, run it for few secs, add tamarind, masala powder and salt, run it for a sec, remove into a bowl.
- Heat remaining oil, add mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves, red chilli, lastly onion pieces, remove from fire when mustard crackles and onion becomes soft.
- Pour this over prepared chutney, mix well, sprinkle chopped coriander and mix.
- Serve with dosa/ idli.
