Ingredients:

• Onion – 1 (cut length-wise).
• Potato – 2 (Boiled and mashed).
• Green chillies – 5 or 6 (slit into two).
• Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp.
• Aniseed – 1/2 tsp.
• Cloves – 2.
• Cinnamon – 1/2 inch.
• Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp.
• oil – 4 tsp.
• Salt – To taste.
• Tomato – 1 (small- optional).

Method:

  1. Put the cut onions in a little water and cook until the onions are soft.
  2. Mash the potatoes with the onions and mix well.
  3. Heat the pan with little oil. Add cumin seeds, aniseed, cloves and cinnamon.
  4. When the above ingredients turn red, add green chillies and fry for a while.
  5. Then add the potato and onion mix.
  6. Put some turmeric powder and salt.
  7. Cook until the raw smell of turmeric goes.
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  9. Serve with puri or dosa.
