Ingredients:
• Onion – 1 (cut length-wise).
• Potato – 2 (Boiled and mashed).
• Green chillies – 5 or 6 (slit into two).
• Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp.
• Aniseed – 1/2 tsp.
• Cloves – 2.
• Cinnamon – 1/2 inch.
• Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp.
• oil – 4 tsp.
• Salt – To taste.
• Tomato – 1 (small- optional).
Method:
- Put the cut onions in a little water and cook until the onions are soft.
- Mash the potatoes with the onions and mix well.
- Heat the pan with little oil. Add cumin seeds, aniseed, cloves and cinnamon.
- When the above ingredients turn red, add green chillies and fry for a while.
- Then add the potato and onion mix.
- Put some turmeric powder and salt.
- Cook until the raw smell of turmeric goes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve with puri or dosa.
