Ingredients:

• 1 cup – fine Rawa
• 1/2 cup – Milk
• 4/5 cup – sugar, ground
• 1/2 tsp – Cardamom powder
• 15 to 20 – Saffron strands
• 1/2 cup – Ghee

Method:

  1. Sieve rawa in a large plate or bowl.
  2. Add 1 tbsp of melted ghee.
  3. Sprinkle milk and press down firmly.
  4. Keep aside for 8-10 minutes.
  5. Melt remaining ghee in a heavy bottomed pan.
  6. Crumble rawa with fingers.
  7. Add to melted ghee, stirring continuously with a spatula.
  8. Stir and roast till rawa gives out a strong aroma and turns light pink and the ghee starts to separate.
  9. Transfer to a large bowl and cool for 2 minutes.
  10. Add sugar, cardamom, saffron and mix well.
  11. Press firmly, shaping into ladoos of desired size.
  12. Cool completely, before storing in airtight container.
