Ingredients:

• 400 gms – boneless Chicken breasts, skinned and cut into pieces
• 2 tsp – Garam Masala
• 4 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1 inch piece ginger, finely chopped
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 1 tsp – Cinnamon powder
• 1 tbsp – oil
• 1 cup – onion, chopped
• 2 Cloves garlic, minced
• 1 cup – Curd (dahi)
• 3/4 cup – Tomato paste
• 5 cups – potatoes, cut into cubes
• 4 cups – water
• 2/3 cup – chopped Tomato

Method:

  1. Heat oil, and then saute the onion, ginger and garlic for a few minutes.
  2. Add all the dry spices, and fry some more.
  3. Add chicken and let it cook for about 10 minutes or so. Keep stirring.
  4. Whisk the curd and tomato paste in a bowl.
  5. Add the mixture to the chicken, and then add the potatoes and water.
  6. Bring to a boil and cover.
  7. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 mins.
  8. Stir occasionally.
  9. Serve with steamed rice.
