Ingredients:

• 6 soft buns, halved horizontally
• 1 large green Capsicum
• 1 large yellow Capsicum
• 1 large red Capsicum
• 1 onion, finely chopped
• 1 cup peas, boiled, mashed coarsely
• 3 green chillies, chopped finely
• 1 flake garlic, crushed
• 1 sprig spring onions, finely chopped
• 2 tbsp Tomato sauce
• 1 tsp soya sauce
• 1 tbsp Wheat flour
• 1/2 cup Milk
• 2 tbsp cheese spread or grated cheese
• Salt to taste
• 2 tbsp Butter

Method:

  1. Heat half the butter in a saucepan. Add chillies and garlic and stir for 2-3 seconds.
  2. Add onion and stir fry till transparent.
  3. Add mashed peas, sauces, salt, spring onions and half cup water.
  4. Allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Dissolve wheat flour into milk till smooth.
  6. Add wheat flour paste while stirring continuously.
  7. Simmer again for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Add cheese spread or grated cheese.
  9. Take off fire.
  10. Cool a little.
  11. Meanwhile, butter halves of buns.
  12. Arrange on a baking sheet.
  13. Spread peas mixture evenly.
  14. Sliver all coloured capsicums thinly.
  15. Arrange in crisscross pattern over mixture.
  16. Bake in preheated oven at 220 degrees C for 5-7 minutes.
  17. Serve hot.
  18. You can store it in the fridge for one day.
