Red devil cupcakes with vanilla icing and made from cocoa powder, butter and buttermilk gives a rich taste to it. Make this delicious cupcakes during the Halloween and let show people another naught side of yours. This cupcakes have a very decent look which attracts everybody to eat. Let’s see how to make it.

Ingredients:

– 2 eggs
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 2 cups caster sugar
– 180 gm butter, softened
– 1 cup buttermilk
– 1 tablespoon white vinegar
– 2 tablespoon cocoa powder
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– 3 cups plain flour
– 1 tablespoon red liquid food colouring
– 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
– 1 metre licorice strap
– Cream cheese icing
– 2 cups icing sugar mixture
– 100 gm butter, softened
– 350 gm cream cheese, softened
– Red gel food colouring

How To Make?

1. Preheat oven to 180 C. Line twenty 1/3 cup muffin pans with paper cases.
2. In the mixture, beat the butter and sugar until it becomes soft and creamy.
3. Now, add vanilla into the mixture and again beat it to combine, then add eggs, at a time, beating well after each additions.
4. Add flour, cocoa powder, buttermilk and baking powder, vinegar, food colouring and bicarbonate soda and stir to combine. Pour this mixture evenly among the lined pans.
5. Bake it for 20-22 minutes. Once it’s ready transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

To make cream cheese icing:

1. Beat the cream cheese and butter till it becomes smooth.
2. Slowly add icing sugar, in batches.
3. Now, add the food colouring and beat to mix well.
4. Fill the mixture into a piping bag fitted with a 1-1.5 cm fluted nozzle.
5. Pipe the icing on the cakes.
6. with the help of knife, trim licorice strap into horns and tails. Attach to cupcakes.
