Ingredients:

• Cashew -100g
• Sugar – 250g
• Ghee -1/3 cup
• Milk -1/2 cup
• Saffron -1/4 tsp
• Cardamom powder -1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. Soak cashew in milk for an hour and grind finely along with saffron.
  2. In a casserole, mix sugar with 1/2 cup of water and stir well.
  3. Microwave it on high for 4 minutes to dissolve the sugar, stirring once in between.
  4. Microwave ghee for 1 minute, on high.
  5. Add cashew paste and hot ghee to sugar syrup.
  6. Microwave on high for 12 to 15 minutes, stirring thoroughly twice in between.
  7. Test the mixture by putting a drop of mixture into cold water. If it forms a soft, firm ball, then it is ready. If not, microwave on high for another 1 or 2 minutes.
  8. Add cardamom powder, mix well, and pour on to a greased plate; cut when slightly cool.
