Ingredients:
• 1 cup – besan
• 1/2 to 3/4 cup – water
• 2 tbsp – finely chopped Onion
• 1 – tomato, finely chopped
• 1 – green chilli, finely chopped
• 2 tbsp – finely chopped Mint and Coriander leaves
• 1/2 tsp – salt
• 2 – 3 tsp – oil
• Tomato sauce or green chutney
Method:
- Sieve besan twice.
- In a wide bowl, mix besan with finely chopped onions, tomatoes, green chilli, salt and chopped coriander leaves.
- Make batter with water. Cover and keep it aside for 15 minutes.
- Heat a frying pan on medium heat. Apply little oil. Pour 1 ladleful of batter and spread it in a circle. Do not cook on high heat.
- Cover it with a lid and cook on medium heat for 5 – 7 minutes until the outer side is well cooked. Sprinkle 1/2 tsp of extra oil if required.
- Turn it over and cook the other side. Carefully remove it with a flat spatula. Serve it hot with green chutney.
