Ingredients:

• 1 – big Chow chow
• 3 tbsp – tur dal
• 10 Cloves – Garlic
• 2 tbsp – Coconut (grated)
• 5 – Cashew nuts
• 2 tsp – Rice flour
• 2 – Red Chillies
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• Turmeric powder, a pinch
• Asafoetida, a pinch
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Grind coconut, cashew nuts and rice flour and keep it aside.
  2. Now cook tur dal and chow chow in a pressure pan.
  3. When done, add the ground mixture, salt and turmeric powder to it.
  4. Now season with urad dal and red chillies.
  5. Finally, add enough water and let it boil for a while.
  6. Keep stirring as it boils.
  7. Serve hot with steamed rice and mango pickle.
