
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Rava/Sooji (120 gm)
• 3/4 cup – Chopped or blended seedless Dates (100 gm)
• 1 cup – Milk (250 ml)
• 2 tbsp – Oil
• 2 tbsp – Ghee
• 1/4 cup – Granulated Sugar (55 gm)
• 1 tsp – Baking powder
• 1/2 tsp – Cardamom powder
• 3 to 4 – Cashew nuts, broken into small pieces
Method:
- Roast the rava on medium flame for 3-4 minutes or till you get a nice aroma and keep aside.
- Mix the sugar, cardamom powder, cashew nuts and baking powder well and add to rava.
- Next add milk, oil and ghee to the rava mixture and mix well.
- Finally add the chopped/blended dates and mix well. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
- Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees C and bake for 30-35 minutes. If a knife comes out clean, your cake is done.
- Allow it to cool completely before cutting.
