
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Green Channa (Choliya)
• 4-5 Cloves of Garlic
• 2 inches – of Garlic
• 1 cup – Paneer grated or mashed
• Salt to taste
• 1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds
• Red Chilli powder to taste
• 1/2 tsp – Garam Masala
• Oil for frying
Method:
- Soak the green channa overnight.
- Drain all the water and grind the green channa with garlic, ginger and cumin seeds without water or as little water as possible.
- Now put the ground channa in a bowl and mix the rest of the ingredients and the mashed paneer (which should be equal in quantity to the ground channa).
- Keep a shallow frying pan on the stove and drizzle a little oil on it. Now take a little of the prepared mix in your hand and make a small round ball, flatten it by pressing the ball in your hands.
- Put it in the heated pan on medium heat, shallow fry till it is brown on both the sides.
- Serve with mint chutney or tomato sauce.
