
Ingredients:
• 3/4 cup – tuvar dal, cooked in 2 cups – water
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 4 cocum
• 3/4 tsp – Fenugreek seeds, pounded coarsely
• 1/3 cup Jaggery
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala
• 1/2 cup – kopra, lightly browned
• 1 tsp – cumin seeds, ground
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/4 tsp – Asafoetida
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 2 cups – coriander leaves, chopped
• 3 tbsp – oil
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Heat oil. Add fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds and asafoetida.
- Add dal with water, all powder spices, jaggery and salt. Boil till blended, adding water if needed.
- Add cocum, coconut, and cumin paste. Simmer and garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve with rice.
