Ingredients:

• button mushrooms, chopped – 200 gm
• Broccoli – 75 gm
• Butter – 2 tbsp
• vegetable or Chicken stock 1 litre
• Onion – ½ cup, chopped
• Garlic – 2 tsp, chopped
• cumin powder -½ tsp
• black pepper powder -½ tsp
• chili powder -½ tsp
• Bay Leaf 1
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Melt butter and fry onion and garlic till fragrant.
  2. Add all the powders, bay leaf, mushroom, stock and salt.
  3. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Cool the mixture and blend till smooth.
  5. Heat the shorba and grate the green part of broccoli into it.
  6. Simmer for 5 more minutes.
  7. Serve hot.
