Ingredients:

• 2 cups- vegetables (Beans, Carrot, Snake gourd, Cabbage, Broccoli etc.).
• 2 handfuls – roasted gram dal (pottukadalai).
• 2 tbsp – jeera.
• 3 or 4 – red chillies.
• Salt, to taste.
• 1 tsp – grated coconut.

Method:

  1. Boil the vegetables with a little salt and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and season with mustard, urad dhal and asafoetida.
  3. Add the vegetables and fry well and make sure there is no water.
  4. Grind the dal, jeera and chilli well without adding water and with a little salt.
  5. After grinding, take the powder in a plate and add little water, until it develops a breadcrumb consistency.
  6. Add to the vegetables and fry well. Add salt, if necessary. Wait till the raw smell goes completely.
  7. Add 1 tsp of coconut and mix well. Keep aside.
