Ingredients:

• 1 large tin Pears
• For the Melba Sauce:
• 1/2 tin – Raspberry jam
• 1 cup – Hot water
• 1 tbsp – Cornflour

Method:

  1. Mix jam with hot water and let it melt over low heat.
  2. Strain through a fine sieve. 
  3. Mix cornflour in a little cold water, add to the sauce.
  4. Cook over low heat until thick, cool, add brandy or rum.
  5. Serve with the pears.
