Ingredients:

• 12 pieces – Mutton
• 1 cup – chopped Onions
• 2 tsps – Garam Masala powder
• 5 cups – Rice
• 1 cup – yogurt
• 1 tsp – ginger-garlic paste
• Salt
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1 tsp – cilantro, Mint
• 2 tbsp – sour Cream

Method:

  1. Marinate the mutton pieces with 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, salt, sour cream, and coriander powder for 1 hour.
  2. Fry half of the onions in a pan till they turn golden brown and keep them aside.
  3. Take some oil in a pan, add the remaining chopped onions, 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste and add the marinated mutton.
  4. Let it cook for 10 -15 mins over a medium flame.
  5. Then add yogurt and crushed fried onions, and let it cook for another 10 mins.
  6. Add garam masala powder.
  7. Preparation of rice:
  8. For 5 cups of rice, pour 10 glasses of water.
  9. Add raw garam masala and salt, and cook for 4 whistles.
  10. Layer the mutton with the rice and cover the dish with a lid.
  11. Cook for another 15-20 mins on dum.
