Ingredients:

• 2 cups – basmati rice, cooked
• 1 – tinned Red kidney beans
• 1 – onion, chopped
• 2 – tomatoes, chopped
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 1/4 tsp – Jeera powder
• 1/4 tsp – pepper powder
• 2 – bay leaves, Cloves
• 1 inch – Cinnamon stick
• 5 – Curry leaves
• Salt to taste
• Oil as required

Method:

  1. Strain the tinned red kidney beans and keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil and fry bay leaves, cloves, cinnamon stick.
  3. Add chopped onion pieces, chopped tomato pieces and cook until the onion turns translucent and tomatoes turns mushy.
  4. Immediately add the red kidney beans along with red chilli powder, garam masala powder, jeera powder, pepper powder , curry leaves and salt and simmer till the oil separates.
  5. Now add the cooked basmati rice to this, toss gently until everything get mixed well.
  6. Serve hot.
