Ingredients:

• 2 Pomfrets
• 1/2 Lemon
• 1 tbsp – salt
• 1 – grated Coconut
• 1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 4 – Garlic Cloves
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 8 pieces Red Chillies
• 1 tbsp – Coriander leaves
• 3 tsp – Tamarind water
• 5 cups – water
• 1 Onion
• 2 Green chillies

Method:

  1. Cut the pomfret into desired number of pieces.
  2. Add salt, lime juice to fish and marinate for 10 minutes.
  3. Grind coconut, cumin seeds, garlic, turmeric, red chillies, coriander leaves, with tamarind water and 1/2-cup water to a paste.
  4. Add remaining water to paste and place on fire.
  5. Add sliced onions and slit green chillies to the gravy.
  6. Once it boils, add marinated fish.
  7. Cook until fish is done and serve hot with unpolished rice.
