Ingredients:

• 2 medium raw plantains
• 1 tblsp – oil
• 3/4 tsp – Red Chilli powder/black pepper
• A pinch of Haldi
• salt
• 1/2 tsp – Jeera powder
• 1/2 tsp – Dhania powder
• 1/4 tsp – kasuri Methi (optional)

Method:

  1. Scrape the outer layer of plantains, cut them into 2 inch cubes and put them in water (to avoid discoloration).
  2. Mix all powders (except salt and haldi) in oil and keep it aside.
  3. Remove cubes from water, just pat dry, smear salt and haldi over them. Spread them on a microwavable plate along with a small microwave-safe bowl with water.
  4. Microwave on high for 5-6 minutes and turn them after every 2 minutes.
  5. Remove and smear the masala paste over the cubes. Microwave on high for 2-3 more minutes. Check if necessary for 1 more minute.
  6. Can be served as side dish/starter.
