Ingredients:

• 1 cup – Rice
• 1.5 cups – Corn
• 1- Onion
• 1- Bay Leaf
• 1/2 inch Cinnamon stick
• 2- Cloves
• 2 cups – water
• To grind:
• 1- Tomato
• 1 tbsp – Ginger
• 4- Garlic pods
• 1/2 cup – Coriander leaves
• 3- Green chillies
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 1/4 inch- Cinnamon stick
• 2 – Cloves
• 10 -cashew nuts

Method:

  1. Wash the rice and soak in water for a while.
  2. Meanwhile chop the onions and grind all the ingredients given under the list to grind as a fine paste by adding water and keep aside.
  3. Cook the corn and keep aside.
  4. Heat enough oil in a cooker, fry the cinnamon stick, cloves and bay leaf, add the onions and saute until they become translucent.
  5. Now add the ground paste and saute for a few minutes. Strain the water from the rice, add the rice and cooked corn. Saute everything again for few minutes.
  6. Finally add enough salt and 2 cups of water, cook until 2-3whistles.
  7. Enjoy the flavourful sweet corn pulao with your favourite side dish.
