Ingredients:

• 200 g – okra, chopped into small pieces
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 2 tbsp – oil
• 2 -green chillies
• 1 – medium sized Tamarind ball
• 1 – medium sized Jaggery piece
• 1 tsp – Rice flour
• 1 tsp -turmeric
• salt

Method:

  1. Soak tamarind in water and extract the juice.
  2. Pour oil in a hard bottom medium pan. Put mustard seeds and wait till it splutters.
  3. Add the okra, green chillies and fry them, till they become bright.
  4. Pour in the tamarind juice, add salt, jaggery and turmeric powder.
  5. Mix the rice flour in a little water and pour it into the pan to thicken.
  6. Boil it till the raw smell of tamarind goes away.
