Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Pumpkin (cubed)
• 2 – Red Chillies (broken)
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• A few – Curry leaves
• 1 tbsp – grated Coconut
• Salt to taste
• 2 tsp – oil

Method:

  1. Chop the pumpkin into bite sized cubes after removing the skin.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard.
  3. Add chillies and urad dal, fry till urad dal turns golden brown.
  4. Switch off and then add curry leaves and coconut. Transfer to a bowl.
  5. In the same pan, add chopped pumpkin. Add enough water and salt and cook till soft.
  6. Now add the seasoning over the cooked pumpkin. Combine the contents well.
  7. Serve with sambar sadam, rasam sadam or curd rice.
