Ingredients:

• 2 – raw banana/plantain(medium)
• 1 – Onion
• 1 – Tomato
• 3 – Garlic
• small quantity – Curry leaves
• small quantity – mustard
• small quantity – black gram
• small quantity – Bengal Gram
• small quantity – Turmeric powder
• 1 tbsp – chilli powder
• 2 tbsp – coriander powder
• 1 pinch – Asafoetida
• salt
• oil

Method:

  1. Peel off the skin and cut raw bananas and soak in warm water after adding a little salt and curd.
  2. Boil it for 5 minutes either in pressure cooker or microwave oven.
  3. Heat oil in a pan/kadai, splutter mustard, black gram, Bengal gram, asafoetida, and curry leaves.
  4. Then add onions followed by tomatoes, raw bananas, turmeric, chilly powder, coriander powder and a little salt.
  5. Fry the vegetables for some 20 minutes.
  6. Mix the curry so that the ingredients mix well and the vegetables becomes crispy.
  7. Sprinkle a little water if necessary.
