
Ingredients:
• 3/4th kg – finely minced Meat
• 2 cups – Milk
• 1.25 cups – breadcrumbs
• 3/4th cup – Cream cheese
• 1/4th cup – finely minced Onions
• 1/4 cup – Milk
• 1/2 tsp – ground Nutmeg
• 1 tbsp – Lemon juice
• 1 – beaten egg, salt and pepper to taste
• 2 tbsp – flour
• salt, pepper and mustard
Method:
- Combine minced meat, cream cheese, finely chopped onions, nutmeg, breadcrumbs, milk, lemon juice, beaten egg, salt and pepper to taste.
- Shape meat mixture into balls (approx 36).
- Fry in oil until brown, on a low flame so that they cook through.
- Remove meat balls to a casserole dish.
- Drain off excess oil, leaving about 2 tbsps. in the frying pan.
- Add 2 tbsps. flour and fry lightly.
- Add 2 cups milk and cook until slightly thick.
- Add salt, pepper and mustard.
- Pour sauce over meat balls, place in oven for 15 mins at 180 degrees C.
- Serve hot with rice.
