Ingredients:
• Dough: 150 gm – whole meal flour
• 150 gm – strong white flour
• 3 tbsp – Butter
• 120 ml – warm Milk
• 1.5 tsp – fast action Dry yeast
• 1 tbsp – Sugar
• vegetable stuffing: 1 tbsp – Onion finely chopped
• 1 tsp – Ginger Garlic paste
• 1.5 cup – mixed vegetables like cauliflower, potatoes, carrot, peas
• 1 tsp – cumin
• 1/2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• salt as per taste
• 1 tbsp – oil
Method:
- Mix all the dough ingredients together to form a smooth dough, allow it to rise in a warm place to double its size (approximately 1 to 2 hours).
- Meanwhile prepare the stuffing for the bread.
- Heat the oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste, chopped onions and fry it for a while, then add vegetables, spices and salt.
- Cover the pan and cook until the vegetables are done.
- To make the parcel bread: Preheat the oven to 180 degree Celsius.
- Take the raised dough, punch the air out.
- Roll the dough into a square shape, place the filling in the middle, pull all the edges in the middle to make it like a parcel, brush it with an egg wash and sprinkle it with poppy seeds and sesame seeds.
- Cover it and allow it to rise for another 1/2 an hour.
- Bake it in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes until the bread becomes golden brown on top.
