Ingredients:

• Coriander leaves – 1 small bunch
• Chicken – 1/4 kg
• Onion – 2
• Tomatoes – 1
• Green chillies – 3
• Ginger – 2 small pieces
• Garlic – 7 pods
• Cinnamon – 1 stick
• Cloves – 2
• Poppy Seeds – 1/2 tsp
• Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
• Cashew – 1tbsp
• Salt to taste
• Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
• Seasoning:
• Oil
• Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
• Curry leaves – 1 sprig
• Cardamom – 2 pods

Method:

  1. Grind all the above ingredients except turmeric powder and chicken. Set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pressure pan. Add the turmeric powder and fry for a few seconds. Add the ground paste and chicken with 1/4 cup water.
  3. Pressure cook up to 3 whistles.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and splutter the mustard.
  5. Add curry leaves and cardamom. Fry for a minute.
  6. Add the seasoning to the cooked chicken.
  7. Serve hot with rice.
