Ingredients:

• Oil – 2 tsp
• Kasoori Methi – 1 tsp
• Palak – 2 cups, finely chopped
• Green chillies – 1 tsp, minced
• Ginger – 1 tsp, minced
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a small kadai.
  2. Add kasoori methi, stir briefly and add rest of the ingredients.
  3. Cook covered on a low heat till palak is soft.
  4. Open the lid and stir on high flame to evaporate any liquid given out by palak.
  5. Cool and add to idly batter.
  6. Pour in greased idly moulds and steam for 15 minutes. Serve hot with chutney.
