
Ingredients:
• 2.5 cups – basmati Rice
• 3 – large Onions
• 1 inch piece – Ginger
• 4-6 – green Cardamoms
• 10-15 – pepper Corns
• 2 – Bay Leaves
• 3 – Cloves
• 1 – Cinnamon
• 1 tsp – Jeera
• 2-3 tbsp – oil
• 2.5 cups – water
Method:
- Soak the rice for 3 hours.
- Heat 2-3 tbsp of oil and add all the spices.
- When the spices stop spluttering, add the onions and ginger.
- When the onions turn golden brown, add the rice and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add 2.5 cups of water and cook until done.
- Serve with sai bhaji and boondi raita.
