Ingredients:
• 1/2 lb – Paneer (deep fry after making cubes)
• 2 – medium Onions (finely chopped )
• 2 – 3 – tomatoes, pureed (depending on the gravy you need)
• 2 tbsp – Ginger Garlic paste
• 1 – Green chilli (grind with ginger-garlic paste above)
• 1 tsp – kasuri Methi
• 1 tsp – Poppy Seeds (khuskhus)
• 15 – whole cashews (kaju)
• 1/2 to 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – Garam Masala
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 sprigs – Cilantro
• 1 Cardamom (elcha)
• 3 tsp – oil
Method:
- Soak kaju & khuskhus for 1/2 hour or more.
- Grind into a paste (add water, if needed).
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil.
- Put slightly crushed cardamom.
- Add onions and fry till slightly brown.
- Add tomato puree & ginger-garlic-green chilli paste.
- Fry till oil separates.
- Add chilli powder, turmeric powder and fry.
- Add kasuri methi and fry only for 10 secs.
- Add ground kaju-khuskhus paste, salt & water.
- Let it boil.
- Add fried paneer cubes and bring to one more boil.
- Add garam masala.
- Garnish with cilantro.
