Ingredients:

• 2 cups – basmati Rice
• 2 cups – Milk
• 1/2 cup -cream
• 1 tsp – Sugar
• salt to taste
• 1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 3 – Cloves
• 1″ stick Cinnamon
• 3 – Cardamoms
• 1- Bay Leaf
• 2 tbsp – Ghee
• 1 cup – canned chopped mixed fruit (drained)
• 2-3 edible rose petals

Method:

  1. Wash and soak rice for 15-20 mins. Drain and keep aside.
  2. Mix milk, cream, sugar, and salt. Keep aside.
  3. Heat ghee in a heavy pan. Splutter cumin seeds, cinnamon, bay leaf, cardamoms, cloves.
  4. Add rice and fry in ghee for 2 mins.
  5. Add milk-cream mixture. Mix well.
  6. Then add 1/2 cup water and bring to a boil.
  7. Cover and simmer till cooked.
  8. Mix in drained fruit.
  9. Garnish with finely broken rose petals.
