Ingredients:

• 1.5 cup – moong dal (yellow)
• 2 cup – moong dal (green)
• 1 – Onion
• 6 – Green chillies
• 2 inch piece – Ginger
• 1 bunch – Coriander leaves
• 1 pinch – soda bi-carbonate
• Salt to taste
• 2 tsp – hot oil
• Oil for frying

Method:

  1. Soak both moong dal for about 6-8 hours
  2. Wash dal thoroughly and grind dals with green chillies and ginger
  3. Chop onion and coriander finely and add it to the dal mixture
  4. Add salt, bi-carb, and 2 tsp of hot oil and mix well
  5. Heat oil in kadai.
  6. Take small amounts of dal mixture and fry in hot oil till golden brown
  7. Serve hot with fried chillies and coriander or mint chutney
