Ingredients:
• 150 – 200 g – Okra
• 2 cups – Curd
• To grind:
• 3 tsp – desiccated Coconut
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 2 pods – Garlic
• 1- big green chilly
• For seasoning:
• 1 tsp – vegetable oil
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 – red chilly
• a few sprigs- Curry leaves
Method:
- Chop okra into small round pieces. Heat 2 tsp of oil and when hot, add the okra pieces. Saute and fry for 5 mins until cooked.
- Drain on to a paper towel in a plate and set aside.
- Grind in a blender the mustard seeds, coconut, chilly and garlic into a fine paste.
- Add the fried okra, ground mixture, 2 cups of curd, salt to a bowl and mix well.
- Add the oil, mustard seeds, red chilly and curry leaves for seasoning.
- When this pops, add it onto the curd mixture.
- Mix well, garnish with curry leaves and serve.
- This can be served with rice/jeera rice/pulao etc.
- Ideal for meat/chicken/fish dishes.
