Ingredients:

• Ginger – 50 g (or Ginger paste)
• Tamarind Paste – 1 tbsp
• Jaggery – 1 tbsp
• Chilli Powder – 1 tbsp
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Scrape the skin of fresh ginger.
  2. Cut it into big pieces.
  3. Fry the pieces in oil and grind them without water.
  4. Fry the paste in oil along with tamarind paste.
  5. Add salt, chilli powder and boil for sometime.
  6. Finally add jaggery.
  7. When the chutney reaches jam-like consistency, remove from flame.
  8. Cool and serve.
